THIS POSITION IS BEING RE-ADVERTISED.
St Michael’s, the mother church of Christchurch, is currently the only Anglican church open in the inner city of Christchurch. The parish has a strong Anglo-Catholic ethos with an associated musical tradition. Part of the parish community is St Michael’s Church School, located on the parish grounds.
While maintaining the liturgical tradition of the parish, a new Vicar will be encouraged to lead new endeavours with young people and with those working or living in the inner city, and to lead the pastoral care of the gathered parish community.
