Church Property Trustees holds and administers the property and investments of the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch. It does this in accordance with an Act of Parliament – Anglican (Diocese of Christchurch) Church Property Trust Act 2003 [the Act].
The 2011 and 2012 earthquakes drastically changed the way the Church Property Trustees worked. It quickly grew from an organisation of four employees to thirteen and currently managing over 250 rebuild and repair projects across the diocese.
