Who is Anglican Care?

Anglican Care Canterbury/Westland is the social services and social justice arm of the Diocese of Christchurch.

Anglican Care’s Aim

Anglican Care strives in Christian love to serve and seek justice in the community.

Anglican Care’s Operations

Each year we spend over 14 million dollars and countless hours serving and ministering to those in need.

Anglican Care is managed under a dual leadership structure with an Anglican Missioner and a City Missioner. There are currently 4 main areas of operation:

  • The Christchurch City Mission;
  • Anglican Community Development;
  • Anglican Care, South Canterbury; and
  • Anglican Advocacy.

Anglican Care Funding

Anglican Care relies on donations and legacies to enable it to continue its important work in Canterbury and Westland.

For details on how to donate or leave a legacy please contact Patrick Murray, Executive Officer.
