We are deeply shocked and saddened by the massacre which took place in our city on Friday fueled by anti Islamic and white supremacist ideologies. We send our deepest condolences to those who have been impacted by these events. Many of you will have received an email already saying we postponed our planned prayers to this coming Sunday. This email is to confirm the details.

We invite you to join us at the Peace Bell in the botanic gardens on Sunday the 24th of March at 2pm for a time of prayer for healing for the city and in support of the Muslim community who are suffering so deeply.

Each faith community will have an opportunity to share a short prayer.

You are welcome to bring some unwrapped flowers to place in the Avon River at the conclusion of the service

Please come along and invite others to show solidarity to those affected and to show the world that we are a loving a peaceful community accepting of all religions and beliefs and the events which occurred last week do not represent us in anyway.
