Join us for a 5-part zoom series exploring a Christian understanding of human sexuality and the role it plays for us as an indigenous church.
Sessions will begin at 7pm on Tuesday 20 August and will run each Tuesday night until Tuesday 17 September.
* tikanga and attitudes towards Takataapui,
*advocacy,
*the Anglican canons,
*the deconstruction of biblical passages, and the
*sharing of Takataapui voices.

Sessions will be presented by specialists in the field, as well as voices from within our Te Pihopatanga o Te Tai Tokerau whānau coming through in the panels. Endorsed by Bishop Kito, and hosted by the Kingi Ihaka Research Centre, this series is designed for both clergy and lay people within Te Pihopatanga o Te Tai Tokerau – however, others are welcome as well, they will just need to share their connection to the kaupapa on the registration form.

These are really important conversations to have around inclusion and safety, and will support all of us ahead of the Hui Amorangi. For further information and to receive the links to the Zoom sessions,
please register herehttps://shorturl.at/YpR0B, or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.

May we encourage each of you to register and share the kaupapa among your networks; pop it in the parish newsletter/pew sheet; print out the attached flyer and pin it on your church notice board; and share about it on upcoming Sundays with your church, your Vestry, and your leadership team. He kaupapa hirahira tēnei, and so we would welcome participation from across the pāriha within Te Pihopatanga o Te Tai Tokerau.
Ngā mihi,
The Kingi Ihaka Research Centre Team –
Rev’d Dr Miryam Clough, Geremy Hema, Rev’d Jacynthia Murphy, Rev’d Scott Parekowhai, and Rev’d Dr Paul Reynolds.

For any pātai, please email Rev’d Dr Paul Reynolds.
