Church Property Trustees is one of the largest private owners of heritage listed buildings in New Zealand.  For those parishes in the Christchurch City Council [CCC] area with listed buildings, you may be interested in the work the CCC heritage team are undertaking to better understand what heritage means for the city.

Heritage New Zealand:

CPT has just received confirmation that Heritage New Zealand has reviewed the listing of St Saviour’s at Holy Trinity, Lyttleton.  Following the church’s move back to Lyttleton from Cathedral Grammar, and the restoration work undertaken by the parish, contractors and the CPT Recovery team, the listing has been ‘upgraded’ from Category II to Category I.  This is a rare honour and all involved can be very proud of the work that has gone into this project.
