Currently, as at 9 December 2022, Christchurch has a rising number of Covid cases.
Over Christmas we will see more people attending Nativity Plays, Carol and other services and we want to make them feel welcome, but we must also be mindful of the health and safety of all.
The Bishop has therefore advised the following:
- Congregations are strongly encouraged to resume masking when gathering for worship
- During communion, presiders and assistants must be masked whilst preparing, presenting and delivering the bread and wine
- Church members can choose just to receive communion in one kind (bread only)
This will continue until we receive further instructions to either strengthen or lessen the above advice, as may be appropriate.
